Missouri Coalition for the Environment (MCE) is committed to protecting the privacy and accuracy of confidential information to the extent possible, subject to provisions of state and federal law. Other than as required by laws that guarantee public access to certain types of information, or in response to subpoenas or other legal instruments that authorize access, personally-identifiable information is not actively shared. MCE uses a payment platform for online donations. This platform requires users to give contact information such as name, address, phone, and email address. Contact information from the payment platform is used only to send membership-related materials and information, and tax-deductible notices regarding your donation and will not be sold to another party.

MCE will only use personal information collected from this site for the purpose of communication back to individuals who contact us via the site.

Information Security
When you send confidential personal information (i.e. credit card information) to us on our website, secure server software that we have licensed encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. The information is scrambled en route and decoded once it reaches a compliant gateway website.

Other e-mail that you may send to us may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information such as Social Security, credit card, or account numbers to us through an unsecured e-mail.
