Meet our colleague, Mariel Lutz! Mariel, whose pronouns are she/her, joins our team as Legislative Intern.
Mariel is from Massachusetts and works with us remotely from Washington, DC. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Environmental Biology.

Both Mariel’s educational and professional endeavors have been connected to the environment and she is invested in caring for our planet and the people who inhabit it. Her previous work includes leading backpacking trips in Maine, volunteering for The Nature Conservancy in Santiago, Chile and serving an AmeriCorps term in Iowa, which involved chainsaw use and prescribed burns. She is looking forward to both supporting MCE’s important work and learning more about the field of environmental policy.
