Jay joined MCE in January 2021 to pursue his passion for protecting people and the environment. He grew up in St. Louis and spent most of his life in Missouri, developing a love for the state’s natural resources along the way. He is currently a Master of Public Health student at George Washington University, primarily studying climate change, epidemiology, and infectious diseases. He graduated with an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University, where he worked as a student representative for the school’s Earth Institute. He also has a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and served on the UMKC Sustainability Team. In his free time, Jay enjoys exploring parks and trails on long-distance runs, cooking new vegetarian recipes, and watching classic films.
