Jared began his professional career in web development handling the online advertising efforts of companies such as Walmart, Best Buy, and Kroger. After 5 years in this field he decided to return to school in order to change career paths and begin working for nonprofits. Jared earned a B.S. in Health Education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Masters in Public Administration at Saint Louis University.
Jared’s nonprofit career began with Tobacco Free St. Louis where he worked on updating tobacco policies to improve public health. He later worked for PreventEd organizing a region-wide campaign to educate people about the opioid epidemic and mobilize them into action. Later, Jared helped found the St. Louis Downtown Neighborhood Association and became its first Executive Director. He was also the Executive Director of Givable – a philanthropic catalyst for St. Louis area nonprofits.
