Corporate influence in our government impacts our ability to protect and restore the environment. The Democracy in Action program develops a strategy to engage and organize a coalition of citizens and organizations to promote an amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Recent surveys and polls have indicated that most Americans believe that corporations “have too much power and influence in Washington” and “money in politics is to blame for the dysfunction of the U.S. political system”.

In order for our government to be for the people, and by the people, it is necessary to establish that money is not speech. Human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights. An amendment to the Constitution to remove corporate personhood is the next step to challenging the American oligarchy.

This page will be our Democracy in Action information distribution center linking to articles, data and information regarding steps we can take to reverse corporate rights. Sign the petition  to take action against the corporate rights.
