Their Food Story: Henry Meat Co. (HMC) is a farmer owned, direct from farm to consumer, meat business in De Soto, Missouri where they sell high quality, locally raised beef, pork, and lamb in various amounts.  Consumers can purchase by-the-cut from our farm or local farmer’s markets or larger quantities such as whole, by the side, or quarter.  HMC provides greater access to high quality, healthy, and naturally raised meat raised on the Henry Family Farm.  Melissa met Amber at a meeting about local food at the MU Ext. office in Jefferson County, hosted by Debi Kelly, MU Extension’s Horticulture and Local Food Specialist.
The People Behind the Project: Amber and James Henry, along with their sons Logan and Dylan, work diligently to raise animals in a healthy, natural setting with great care. By providing quality forage, fresh air, and clean water, the animals are raised up naturally in a preferred environment where they have plenty of room to grow and flourish. It is the goal of the Henry Family to provide high quality meats to local consumers, direct from their farm to your fork.
