Upcoming MCE Events
Resisting Climate Chaos - Session two: Cutting the massive energetic cost of clean water using nanoscale materials. March 15, 6:00pm at the Washington University, Brauer Hall, Rm. 021 (this is a change from last time).
Join MCE for our new engaging series "Resisting Climate Chaos: Connecting scientists, activists, and innovators." More than ever, the public needs to be informed of the potential of science to address the catastrophe of climate change. Because scientific facts now face distortion, dismissal, and replacement by “alternative facts,” our direct engagement with scientists is critical. We can't wait for the government to solve climate change so we are bringing the science to the people.
In this second session, Srikanth Singamaneni, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engeineering and Materials Science at Washington University in St. Louis, presents his work on an inexpensive device that cleans water and saves energy. Learn more about the series here. You can check out the event on Facebook as well.
